Residents, families, and local businesses filled University Avenue for CicloSDias, a celebration of car-free streets, transforming over a mile of our busy corridor into an open street, welcoming everyone to walk, bike, skate, and explore our community. 

City Heights residents participate in a new pilot program focused on air quality education and access to free air purifiers.

City Heights and North Park residents now have access to Mid-City GO!—a free, convenient, and on-demand shuttle service. This pilot program is designed to serve the Mid-City area, with a focus on residents facing limited transportation options.

Mid-City Go! is an all-electric shuttle experience offering an alternative mobility option in City Heights and North Park.

The Mid-City Communities Plan Update (CPU) encompasses the neighborhoods of City Heights, Kensington-Talmadge, and Normal Heights. It serves as a long-term vision for land use, mobility, urban design, public facilities, and services.

The San Diego Chapter of the American Planning Association (SDAPA) held its yearly awards ceremony this past June at UCSD Park and Market. In these awards, the SDAPA brings together the San Diego planning community to celebrate planning projects that have made a difference in people’s lives.

June 11th marked the return of the Mid-City Community Bike ride. Over 60 community members from all ages joined as we had so much riding around the Mid-City area!

The impact of the Youth Opportunity Pass Pilot Program will be huge! Youth 18 and under will now be able to attend school, career opportunities, and recreational activities and not be burdened by the high costs of transportation.

Last month, local leaders and community members gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the Landis Bikeway, which adds 3.1 miles of safety improvements between North Park and City Heights!
