The SD Food Justice Project is the latest chapter in to our long-term food security efforts in City Heights and beyond, and our Economic Development team is working hard to find the first 100 small business applicants with priority focus on marginalized business owners and supporting the entrepreneurship of individuals with limited English proficiency, regardless of immigration or citizenship status.

Visions To Victory: A People's History of the SR-15 Freeway
This award-winning 12 minute documentary features in-depth interviews with community leaders of City Heights from 1978-2018 who refused to allow their neighborhood to be divided by a new freeway. In response, they organized and developed an alternative plan—The Visions Project.

June 11th marked the return of the Mid-City Community Bike ride. Over 60 community members from all ages joined as we had so much riding around the Mid-City area!

Situated at the corner of University Ave and the 15 freeway, the Tierra Central event space is a one minute walk from the City Heights Transit Plaza. When coming from downtown San Diego, take the North-bound Rapid 235 Bus route. The transit plaza can also be reached via bus routes seven and ten.
