Close to 100 community members met in the corner of 54th St & El Cajon Blvd to share input on the proposed Rapid 625 Route. This 200$ Million project will connect Chula Vista, National City, Southeast San Diego, City Heights and SDSU!

The Second City Heights Listening Session will be held virtually via Zoom and take place Thursday August 18th, 2022 from 5:00PM to 6:30PM. The first 40 participants who RSVP and participate throughout the session will have a $25 gift card mailed to compensate for their time and valuable input.

After nearly three years, August 4th will see the return of an in-person Transit & Tacos! This award-winning engagement series will allow for City Heights residents to shape our transit system all while enjoying free tacos!

Situated at the corner of University Ave and the 15 freeway, the Tierra Central event space is a one minute walk from the City Heights Transit Plaza. When coming from downtown San Diego, take the North-bound Rapid 235 Bus route. The transit plaza can also be reached via bus routes seven and ten.

The impact of the Youth Opportunity Pass Pilot Program will be huge! Youth 18 and under will now be able to attend school, career opportunities, and recreational activities and not be burdened by the high costs of transportation.

A huge thank you to Community residents who attended 3 MTS public meetings in March 2021 and voiced opposition on fare adjustment scenarios that suggested fare increases. These fare increases would have come only 2 years after MTS's previous fare increase, placing additional financial burden on transit riders.

This is a big week for grand openings in Mid City. Hours ago the Wightman Street Park opened and tomorrow the SR-15 Commuter Bikeway opens!
