As we reach the halfway point of the year, data continues to reveal alarming patterns of traffic violence along high-risk corridors in our neighborhoods. It’s time for the City to take proactive steps to protect pedestrians and invest in infrastructure that saves lives.

The Mid-City Communities Plan Update (CPU) encompasses the neighborhoods of City Heights, Kensington-Talmadge, and Normal Heights. It serves as a long-term vision for land use, mobility, urban design, public facilities, and services.

Driven by a series of conversations with the City Heights community, the film portrays a complicated and moving narrative of the grassroots organizing, participatory planning and community advocacy that goes into creating a more equitable, transit-accessible City Heights.

The new Rapid 625 MTS bus route will travel from Southwest Chula Vista to San Diego State University while servicing several environmental justice communities, including City Heights!
