Hollywood Palms Community Activation Day Brings Residents Together

Over four hours, more than forty volunteers and residents joined forces to revitalize shared spaces at Hollywood Palms, including the community garden, laundry room, and outdoor play area. Together, volunteers and residents added new soccer goal posts, a sandbag toss game, and fresh touches that made the property brighter and more welcoming. Teams also cleared litter throughout the property and along the nearby trail, creating a cleaner, safer environment for everyone.

While residents and volunteers worked outdoors, our Resident Services team distributed over three thousand pounds of food to more than one hundred fifty households across our affordable housing communities, thanks to our partnership with Feeding San Diego and the San Diego Food Bank.

These resident-led improvements helped transform everyday spaces where children can learn and play, and where neighbors can gather, share resources, and support one another. Thank you to the residents, volunteers, and partners who made this day possible — your contribution helped build a stronger, more connected City Heights.
