If you know anyone who needs an example of stellar affordable housing having a huge impact on people who need it most, introduce them to Talmadge Gateway.

Opened in 2017, Talmadge Gateway is San Diego’s first 100% permanent supportive housing for homeless seniors. We worked in partnership with our friends at Wakeland Housing to acquire the property, build community support, and open the 60 units. Each resident is aged 55+, was formerly homeless, and many battle chronic medical conditions.

The battle to build affordable housing—even incredibly humane housing like Talmadge Gateway—is always uphill, but we can make sure more housing gets built by voting yes on Measure A. This bond measure would ensure over 1700 units of affordable housing are built, we keep thousands more people off the streets, and we ease the burden our housing market has become for so many—especially many in low income communities.

So don’t wait! Vote yes on Measure A! Housing is a human right, and places like Talmadge Gateway make sure people have the access they need.
