Congratulations to 38 New SD Food Justice Project Graduates!

The San Diego Food Justice Project is celebrating the graduation of our first cohort!

The cohort began with 40 business owners and entrepreneurs, and 38 of them recently completed an eight session training course, qualifying them for grant funding of up to $7,500! This is a HUGE step as they work to build their dream business, and we’re thrilled by the success of this first group. The second cohort will begin at the end of January, and there’s still time for you to apply and join the program.

The Economic Development team will continue to build on the success of this first cohort by translating curriculum into other languages and refining our course material, but we need your help reaching business owners who face the biggest barriers: immigrants, English language learners, and other historically excluded communities. Would you share this post to help spread the word? We want to provide people with training and funding for their business!

Our thanks to the amazing partners (listed below) who make the San Diego Food Justice Project possible, and thanks to all of you for helping spread the word as we work together to create more economic stability in the region!
