The First Cohort of Grant Recipients for SD Food Justice Project Has Begun!

The San Diego Food Justice Project’s first cohort is live!

For the next eight weeks, business owners will receive in-person training, resources, communal feedback, and grant funding for their business upon completion as they work to take their business to another level.

One student said she’s had the same job for 15 years but is finally taking the leap and starting her dream business. She has two kids she’s putting through college, she’s busy, but she’s jumping into this new chapter because she believes in her business dream.

Another student was in New York but flew in just for this first cohort session. He had to hop on the trolly and head back to the airport immediately after but he and the rest of the cohort are committed—stay tuned to hear more stories of these business owners and their journey.
