New Roots Farmers Train At Coastal Roots Farm!

The only thing better than a community farm is two community farms collaborating!

Our gratitude to the people of Coastal Roots Farm for extending an invite to New Roots farmers from the Latino and Somali Bantu gardening groups into a shared learning space for these gardeners to envision our next project: a seed start station!

The expert farmers at Coastal Roots shared their know-how about greenhouses on top of facilitating some great team-building exercises. While the adults trained, several of us volunteers enjoyed games with the kids in Coastal Roots’ lovely play area. After games, we huddled up for pizza—thanks to these friends for hosting!

Thanks for supporting this amazing gardening community, and stay tuned for more on the seed station and other donor-funded opportunities at New Roots.
