This pandemic has devastated small businesses.

The economic toll of COVID-19 is still being calculated, but it’s clear that many in our community have struggled, and many will continue to struggle. Diverse communities like City Heights are hit especially hard, and many small businesses owned by people of color are often unable to access the limited Federal, State, and City relief funding.

So what can we do?

In an effort to help locally-owned businesses survive the current crisis and keep operating long-term, we are partnering with a coalition of like-minded friends from the City Heights Economic Development Collaborative to launch the City Heights Business Relief Fund.

Partner organizations include LISC San Diego, the City Heights Business Association, El Cajon Boulevard BIA, and the International Rescue Committee. This fund is supported by generous contributions from U.S. Bank Foundation, Price Philanthropies, SDG&E, Union Bank, and The Hervey Foundation.
