Piece X Piece Mural Created by Youth Artists Commemorates the City Heights We Love
Artist, designer, and muralist, Josue Baltezar, led local youth artists through the creative process of designing and curating a mural as contracted artists. Over the span of three weekends, the group of artists completed the piece for the City Heights community space, Tierra Central.
Last weekend we celebrated the soft launch of the artwork, Piece x Piece: a Youth-Driven Community Mural at Tierra Central.
With the support of artist and designer, Josue Baltezar and his team, youth artists in City Heights led and created a collaborative mural for the community space. The mural is fragmented into pieces, and when pieced together depicts the various elements of diversity in our community of City Heights.
