Erik Tilkemeier works as our Director of Economic and Urban Development and is a passionate advocate of equitable prosperity.

With 40 years’ experience in community, organizational, business, and real estate development, he works with community residents and other stakeholders to facilitate the creation of socially, economically, and environmentally resilient places.

Erik earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and has worked with UCSD’s Active Living Research and Center for Community Health, as well as the JKA Group as a Senior Associate in social ecology. He has experience directing master planning processes, built environment improvements, and entitlement of complex projects.
